Huaticocha Reads: creating safe space to read and dream
Project Launch: 2-8-23
“Huaticocha Reads” seeks to construct an Amazonian community library, incorporating traditional Amazonian materials and techniques. The “Yuyarina Pacha” library will provide a dynamic literacy program, benefitting 2,000 inhabitants of Huaticocha and 100 families dedicated to agricultural production. This initiative is led by the members of Asociación Agrícola AsoAmazonas, an Amazonian farmer cooperative founded by local coffee farmers that prioritizes and invests in both professional and personal development of its members and community.
