Environmental Education Program of Alto-Piura Peru
Project Launch:
The post-secondary technological institute in Peru's Santo Domingo, on the border of Ecuador, will engage its students in the installation of community gardens at five local primary/secondary schools. The gardens will be used to train young people in the basics of agriculture and the importance of environmental protection. Students will explore renewable energy at their own school by constructing a pour-flush latrine, connected to a biodigester that produces bio-gas.
