Small Business Management Seminar
Project Launch: 1-5-18
The rural community of Puerto Lara hopes to develop its business leaders so that they can compete in the regional economy. To do so, this project seeks to provide community leaders with 50 hours of typing practice, 20 hours of basic Excel and Word training (specifically focused on how participants can integrate new technology into their existing operations), and 20 hours of individual group-specific trainings on topics like Facebook marketing, pricing for tourism, small project and money management for the elected community officials, and basic accounting for the women's community bank. In this manner, Puerto Lara will be able to develop its business interests and establish a lasting social and economic environment.
