Chioza Under-five Clinic Construction
Project Launch: 9-22-23
Considering the challenges women and under-five children face due to abscess of under-five clinic, people of Kadyalunda village T/A Sawali, Balaka district, chose to construct an Under-five clinic in their community. The absence of clinics means that Kadyalunda community members travel 10 kilometers to get to the nearest clinic. Currently they are using a tamarind tree to access services which not only affect women and children but also the functioning of health workers in health service provision. The project is expected to create good environment where women and under-five children will receive health services, lessen the kilometers people walk to have access to health services, and also allow health workers to come for provision of services more frequently. Some of the services to be provided will include nutritional information which will reduce malnutrition cases, growth monitoring, immunization and malaria treatment.
