Water for All (WALL)
Project Launch: 12-27-19
This World Connect grant will be used by the community to drill and install a borehole in Boi, Nigeria. The existing wells are too shallow and dry up between January and June. Before drilling, a hydro-geographical assessment using electrical measurements will be conducted to find the depth of the underlying aquifer. Above ground, the borehole will include a standard metal pump mechanism and a cement foundation to protect the pump mechanism. The grant will also fund a health and sanitation training so that the community is taught about good hygiene and sanitation practices.
