About this Project

With a co-investment of $7,819.82 from  Mudzi Connect, Kachama Community Based Organization (CBO) is set to transform access to safe drinking water for Bundi Community in Mzimba District. The initiative involves drilling and installing a single community-managed borehole fitted with an Afridev hand pump, extending clean water coverage within a 500-meter radius to more than 250 households reaching 3,000 residents. This intervention directly tackles the community's current dependence on unsafe water sources situated 2–3 kilometers away, a reliance that has fueled waterborne illness, diminished productivity, and low school attendance.
