Ubudasa made in Rwanda fashion designing
Project Launch: 12-31-69
The Ubudasa Made in Rwanda Fashion Design project seeks to establish a tailoring and fashion design enterprise at Karama IDP model village to address the local market for affordable and accessible tailored clothing and school uniforms. Led by Djazila Sibomana and supported by the Ubudasa Block D community group, the initiative focuses on providing jobs, skills training in tailoring and fashion design, and promoting "Made in Rwanda" products. With a grant of $3,554.74, the project will procure modern tailoring equipment, secure workspace rental, and establish partnerships with schools, hospitals, and other clients to ensure sustainability. The project prioritizes women and youth empowerment, aiming to uplift the local community by reducing poverty, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating a reliable source of income for its members.
