Tech power- Digital literacy training for rural girls and young women

Rwamagana District is one of the districts on the Eastern Province with a high number of teen pregnancies. A local organisation called Girls Tech Ventures in partnership with the Kitazigurwa youth center in Rwamagana district will use a $1,015 grant from World Connect to acquire commputers and internet access to train girls in digital literacy aimed at empowering them with digital competencies for them to be solutions for their communities. The center will provide training in digital skills, online job searching, and accessing e-learning platforms. Girls (majority of whom are teen mothers) will be able to start digital creativity job opportunities including graphics design, delivering online services to their communities, Video & Photography services.
