The agricultural area of Cascas, Peru produces grapes, rice, corn and various fruits, producing wines, jams, and juices. Local, vocational students showed interest in developing a business around selling these products and with a $495 grant from World Connect's Kids to Kids Program in 2011, students were given a business skills and leadership development course. Students who completed the course were given the chance to compete locally and then, nationally against other young entrepreneurs throughout Peru. The pupil with the best business plan will win seed money to bring the business to fruition.Explore other Projects
