sheep farming project
Project Launch: 12-19-22
Funding from this project will support 70 neediest households in Miyove Sector of Gicumbi district in the Northern Province of Rwanda who have formed the Baho neza association to start sheep farming through the purchase and distribution of 70 sheep to these 70 households (One sheep to each household) The households will raise the sheep, obtain manure from the sheep droppings to fertilise their crop gardens so they can grow enough food to feed their families. Once the sheep produce, this association will initiate a sheep pass-on to give a lamb to another needy family in the community so they can also enjoy the benefits of livestock farming. Once the sheep have multiplied in number, families will earn additional income from sale of sheep offsprings and sale of wool from the sheep fur.
