Project Launch: 5-28-19
The Community Health Center in Tamarou, Benin, was established in 2009. They provide monthly disease prevention services, health education sessions, vaccinations, infant growth monitoring, malaria treatment, and sexual health and family planning. The health committee of the Community Health Center has for years been planning to build a gazebo and pharmacy. This will impact the entire population which the Center serves, including 15 villages and a population of nearly 2,500 people. This has the potential of to improve the quality of care as well as community members' access to treatment more quickly and affordably. World Connect is not fundraising for this project at the request of or on behalf of Peace Corps.
