Pig farming in Rubirizi
Project Launch: 12-30-21
This project will take place in Rubirizi, a village of 215 households and 915 people where 98% of the population is engaged in subsistence agriculture. Due to some unique environmental feaures, the village is known to have very poor soil quality. Thus, the community has decided to launch a pig farming project, which will allow them to breed pigs, share them amongst households to increase food security, and to produce manure to be converted into fertilizer to improve agricultural yields.
