Project Investment: $488.00
Project Launch:
The youth in Cauday, a town of less than 3,000 people, are always searching for things to do when school gets out at one o'clock each day. The Painting for a Cleaner Future project provided an opportunity for kids to learn about and highlight the beauty of their region, and to promote the importance of conservation. With World Connect’s support, this group of kids took regular hikes to nearby locations to snap photographs of the beautiful Cauday landscapes. They used these photographs in a painting and conservation class, where they learned how to paint while learning how to protect their local environment and their health. For example, in one class they learned about the importance of drinking treated water instead of drinking water from the streams they were painting. At the conclusion of the classes, their work was put on display at a town festival hosted by the local government.Explore other Projects
