About this Project
Nsipe Community Day Secondary School in Ntcheu District lacks adequate science laboratory facilities and essential equipment, forcing teachers to rely heavily on theoretical instruction. This gap has contributed to low student enrollment in Chemistry and Physics, limited practical science skills, and poor examination pass rates. In partnership with Mudzi Connect and the Nsipe community, Reach Out to Girls Organisation will use a $9,160.76 co-investment to renovate and equip a dedicated Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) laboratory. The upgrade includes workstations, storage, a handwashing sink, apparatus, and reagents, alongside safety and equipment management training for teachers. By enabling regular hands-on practicals, the initiative aims to boost science enrollment and improve exam performance, better preparing all 380 enrolled students for future STEM careers.
