MOKLASS PROJECT
Project Launch: 12-16-19
This project will pilot and test a locally-developed mobile solar classroom device in three Community Day Secondary Schools which currently have no access to electricity or laboratories. The technology can fit in a backpack and be transported on a bicycle, allowing practitioners to reach more remote schools and students easily. The mobile solar classroom includes a solar-powered projector and educational videos and animations tailored for primary and secondary school students. The goal is to support teachers and expose children to technology at an early stage, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Over 2,000 students from the three schools will benefit from this first round of lessons focused on science topics.
