Project Launch:

The Chipillico Health Promoters, a community-based group of women and youth in Chipillico, Peru will launch a comprehensive healthy homes initiative, to further serve the area's 65 families. The group already visits new mothers to assure the health and safety of their children and with support from World Connect, important service additions will be made such as equipping homes with hand washing stations, establishing composting areas, micro-landfills, small vegetable gardens and dry well latrines. Mothers and families will benefit from this highly mobilized group of health promoters' knowledge, regular visits and ongoing training on how to maintain the different components of a healthy home.
