Construction of a Community Based Childcare Centre in Patterson Village
Project Launch: 9-14-23
Through the project, Patterson Village nursery School Committee will use a $8,755.10 grant to construct two roomed classroom blocks in Patterson Village, Neno Malawi. Currently, preschool students learn in the tent. Building the Community Based Childcare Centre would result in reallocating students from the tent into a well-built fixed structure. 480 children will benefit from using this center. In addition to that, it is expected to help improve the students' class participation, performance , and enrollment into primary school.

The construction of a two roomed Community Based Care Center (CBCC) at Patterson Village, Traditional Authority Simon in Neno District has progressed to a roofing stage. The 60% of the funds that was received was used to procure construction materials like cement, windors, doors, quarry, iron sheets, timber, nails, and some wires that have been used in the initial stage of the project to a roofing stage. Once completed, the classroom block will provide conducive learning space for close to 480 children in the community in different shifts.
