About this Project

Mujeres por el Desarrollo Ruk´u´x Pwaqil will implement a cultural economic empowerment project  that will benefit women in San José Poaquil that includes different training topics that have been identified of interest and benefit for women, based on feedback and requests. The group will purchase 25 sewing machines and provide financial literacy and sewing training  to support a women’s skill-building project for economic opportunity and income. The Municipal Women’s Directorate of the San José Poaquil community will provide sewing and pattern-making courses for women participants, providing them with practical tools to generate income and contribute to local economic development. A total of 30 women will benefit from this project, promoting women's empowerment and economic autonomy.
