Guías y Scouts Puntarenas, a Boys and Girls Scout program in Costa Rica, began in September of 2008 and has quickly become extremely successful. A grant of $500 from World Connect’s Kids to Kids program supported the growth of the program, starting with the uniforms, which gave participants a sense of pride and unity. A strong sense of ownership exists as the program was formed within the community and local children were involved in planning the program from the very beginning.Explore other Projects
