Books + Reading = Fun
Year: 2010
Country: Peru
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $500.00
Project Launch:
In the town of Choquizonguillo, Peru, opportunities to read were few and far between due to the lack of printed material that was available. Other than the Bible and textbooks, children did not have access to reading material. With this in mind, the community came to World Connect to establish the community’s first library. This library project established a place where kids can check out books, sit and read and participate in a reading club. It also established a theatre club for the kids to organize plays and act out the books they were reading for the first time. The library is a catalyst in helping to develop the creativity and imagination of students in Choquizonguillo.Explore other Projects
