G.S.Mubumbano Basketball and Volleyball Court construction

Groupe scolaire Mubumbano is one of the public day schools in Mukura Sector of Huye DIstrict in the Southern province of Rwanda. The school has education levels including Kindergarten, primary and secondary all of which have a population of nearly 1000 learners. However, the school does not have sports facilities that the students can use for their games and sports. The school has a piece of land and would like to construct a combined volleyball and basketball court which will be used by both the learners at the school as well as other community members since there are no such facilities in the entire community. A $5,000 Coinvestment from World Connect Rwanda will be matched by anonther $5000 from community contributions and these funds will be used to purchase the necessary construction materials, hire construction labour to make sure they construct a combined volleyball & basketball court.
