Project Launch:

This project aims to build a multi-use sports area, focused on basketball, volleyball and gymnastics, and to launch physical education programs at the elementary and high schools in the small village of Pete. A village primarily financed by farming and agriculture, students work hard in the classroom and out. This sports terrain will not only provide students a healthy outlet to play but will also create an area for educational advancement in health and physical education.

Project Update

The terrain is currently being used to hold nutrition workshops to teach the students about basic health principals. In addition, the space is being utilized for several cultural events, including school celebrations and theatrical performances. The school is working on acquiring additional sports equipment to provide more opportunities for the students. Several NGO's continue to show interest in working with the school.
