Driving Community Economic Development through STEM
Project Launch: 10-11-18
In Cameroon, especially in the Far North, gender inequalities are still a regular feature of enrollment trends in the education system with an overall underrepresentation of women and girls. The proportion of women and girls involved in STEM is decreasing because of cultural norms that dictate women and girl remain in the kitchen and the farm.
This project will promote training ion business linked to STEM among women from different backgrounds. Promoting education in STEM, business, and entrepreneurship, the aim is to empower 50 girls and 50 women in practical STEM skills to pave the way for the emergence of female engineers, architects, researchers, and teachers.
