Project Launch: 7-14-20

Based on the most immediate COVID-19 needs in the Dominican Republic, our trusted partners have created a digital/virtual awareness campaign to disseminate accurate prevention information, specifically with a gender lens, to 38 key community leaders who will subsequently share information with their networks. They will also distribute gloves, masks, and disinfectants to 20 vulnerable families. Five key individuals who will role out this response will receive phones and access to credit and wifi in order to coordinate the PPE packages and disseminate accurate information to the community regularly. The five leaders who have been identified also work in hospitals, social defense, school associations, and churches. Their connectivity will support the success of these COVID-19 specific responses and their work to keep their community safe.
