Project Launch:

Local government officials in Jutiapa, a small community in the department of Cabañas, El Salvador, long ago set a goal to create a central space for community members to gather for community development meetings and, particularly for youth, to organize sports leagues. The Bringing Fun to Jutiapa project is supporting the construction of a multi-use court at the center of town. This project will offer the youth community of Jutiapa access to recreational activities and sports, which can provide necessary local support for the youth to overcome issues in the community such as gender inequality, lack of teamwork and lack of self-esteem.
