Amún Shéa: Let's Get Movin'
Year: 2009
Country: El Salvador
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $500.00
Project Launch:
World Connect's Kids to Kids program awarded a $500 grant in 2009 to start a program that introduces students in El Salvador to activities other than soccer (futbol), such as martial arts, basketball, and jump rope. With these new activities, students learn a side of physical fitness that does not include competition, but rather that emphasizes stretching, breathing exercises, and calisthenics. In addition to the physical education component for kids, parents have also had classes aimed at helping them to better understand the project and encouraging their participation in promoting healthy family living.Explore other Projects
