Young Mothers in Community Health
Project Launch: 10-9-20
With this World Connect grant of $4,569, the Young and Alive Initiatives Tanzania plans to train 25 young mothers as community health workers. The participants will be trained in a range of sexual health and gender based violence topics so that they are equipped to share information with women and girls in the community. Beyond the sexual health training, the women will receive vocational training in baking, cooking, sewing, hairstyling, and fashion. This will equip the women with skills to contribute to their employability at established businesses or their ability to launch their own enterprises.
