PROJECT AID MOMS
Project Launch: 1-18-24
This World Connect project is dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of women and girls, with a special emphasis on pregnant and nursing mothers. It seeks to empower traditional birth attendants and rural health workers by providing essential skills, materials, and services, contributing to the reduction of maternal mortality. With $5,549.10 this project aims to distribute safe birth kits and conduct medical diagnoses for 200 pregnant women and nursing mothers. Educational initiatives will cover sexual and reproductive health, contraception methods, and safe pre and post-natal practices, empowering women to make informed decisions about their bodies. Additionally, the project includes the launch of a mini diagnostic center within the community, serving as a centralized facility for surrounding healthcare institutions. Focusing on high-impact diagnostic procedures, such as 2D/3D ultrasound scans and laboratory investigations, this initiative addresses the growing concerns of non-communicable and communicable diseases, contributing to comprehensive community health improvement.
