Project Investment: $246.68
Project Launch:
In 2010, a $247 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program provided the materials for youth group programming in the village of Agua Fría, which facilitated soccer games and other sports activities, held story times, taught English language skills, and, most popular, ran programming in arts and crafts. The Peace Corps Volunteer who facilitated the program reported that with the new supplies the kids were much more eager to attend class and stay after, providing them with a healthier and safer environment than the alternative, where young people are left to learn lessons on the streets, finding gangs, drugs, and alcohol abuse rampant.Explore other Projects
