Baby Bites
Project Launch: 2-2-16
This project will expand the community garden in Andoung Tuek commune, which provides community members with access to nutritious produce at a discounted rate. Specifically, a group of women will launch an organic baby food business, using produce from the garden. The baby food will be readily accessible in the local market, offering a nutritious alternative for local mothers who often feed their infants chips and cookies. To spur the success of the new microbusiness, health center staff and village health volunteers will hold nutrition workshops to educate the community about maternal and infant health.
Progress Update: 10/31/2016
Community weigh-ins have been used to obtain information about the health status of the village's children.
